O Simpleton, thy time hast cometh!

Greetings, dear viewer.
As per the record I keep of my writing endeavors (I have one of those), I have noticed a trifle:  my writing has been fairly serious lately; almost depressing at times. Therefore, I am taking a break from the usual to write simplistic, lofty couplets about simple, lofty things.

(Yes, I wake up with 'La Vie En Rose'* playing in the background, and waste my time searching for memes.)
Anyways, today, I'll cover three everyday objects and try to add an introspective twist to them!

I had traversed afar in the ways of the world; had been in embrace of tongues anew
Had conquered realms and vanquished demons; yet I reside in the flaps of few.

I melt into you; you into me.

Rusted Doors

Years hence had I been erected, I watch the humans live their lives:
From youth's felicities, flung to downing despair- and they say I am the rusted one.
